CONTRACTUAL REQUIREMENTS OF ALL TEAM MEMBERS

Field Operations & Safety Guidelines (Applies to All Employees, Operators, and Independent Contractors)

1. PERSONAL READINESS

Dress appropriately for extreme winter conditions — insulated jacket, waterproof gloves, and durable, waterproof boots are required. Always prepare for the harshest weather conditions.
Company-issued uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times while on duty or operating Snow Control Team equipment. This includes high-visibility outerwear, gloves, and any additional PPE required for your role. Failure to comply is considered a safety violation and may result in disciplinary action or removal from duty.
Bring all essential personal items: a fully charged phone and charger, food, water, coffee, and other personal necessities for extended shifts.
Keep directions to the Snow Control Team office and your supervisor’s phone number readily available in your wallet or phone.

Keep your phone available and your voicemail active. Your cell phone must remain on and with you at all times during active operations. Dispatch will only call once during activation.
If a walkie talkie or two-way radio has been issued, ensure it is charged, powered on, and functioning before your shift begins. You must monitor your assigned channel and respond promptly when contacted by dispatch or supervisors. Failure to respond is a safety and compliance violation.

2. CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT PROCEDURES

Report to your assigned shop, yard, or work zone immediately following a dispatch call. Prepare in advance — have clothing, food, and equipment ready before resting.
Check in and out with your supervisor by phone or in person at the start and end of each shift.
Remain at your assigned yard or staging area after checking in until directed to your route or site.
Be ready to mobilize quickly when requested and ensure you know your assigned route, site, and vehicle or equipment number.
Maintain a clean and organized work area. Assist in keeping Snow Control Team equipment and facilities clean and presentable at all times.

3. PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT

All company safety and operational standards must be followed at all times. Violations may result in disciplinary action or fines beginning at $50.00 per infraction.
Uniform and PPE Compliance: Proper company-issued uniform and PPE are mandatory while on duty.
No Smoking is permitted in, on, or around Snow Control Team equipment and vehicles.
No Smoking or Vaping on client properties.
Communication Devices: Radios, walkie talkies, and communication systems must remain on and monitored. Respond immediately when contacted by a supervisor or dispatcher.
No alcohol or drugs may be consumed during duty hours or within eight (8) hours before a shift. Any suspicion of impairment will result in removal from duty without pay and possible termination or contract cancellation.
Weapons and firearms are prohibited on all Snow Control Team and client properties, regardless of permit status.
Report any rule violations, unsafe acts, or misconduct immediately to your supervisor.

4. OPERATIONAL PROCEDURES

Review "Site Plan" (located in mobile app / blue binder in your truck) for 2-5 minutes when arriving at a property to get a full understanding of deicing service areas, sidewalks, where to pile snow, etc.
Use extreme caution at all times. Ensure all warning lights and strobes are active when operating in the field.
Maintain a minimum of two (2) feet from doors, dock entrances, and loading bays when plowing with a truck or piece of equipment.
Do not leave your assigned site, route or work zone without supervisor authorization.
Do not pull out stuck vehicles with company equipment unless it is on our clients property - get approval from your supervisor first.
Do not choose to go in a different order than how your route is ordered (1st property, 2nd property, etc.) / assigned without supervisor authorization.
Pile snow in designated areas only - marked in red on site plans.
Notify your supervisor immediately if your fuel level drops below one-quarter tank.
Take direction only from Snow Control Team supervisors. If a client requests additional work, assist courteously, then notify your supervisor before proceeding.
Do not remove ignition keys from equipment or take them home.
Always look back when reversing. Be mindful of extended blades and attachments.
Avoid back dragging with large equipment plows — it will likely cause blade damage.
Protect cutting edges and rubber edges from damage by avoiding manholes, curbs, and uneven terrain.
Operate at safe speeds: plow trucks should not exceed 15 mph while plowing and tractors should use 1st or 2nd gear only.
Lift the blade slightly if traction is lost to regain control.
When plowing with tractors / skid steers, use the “float” mode and avoid excessive down pressure.
Do not use a material bucket cutting edge to contact pavement directly.
If stuck, request assistance immediately.
Avoid striking curbs or obstacles. Know your lot layout.
Report any property damage, near miss, or injury immediately to your supervisor.

DEF Fluid Procedures:

All when loaders and some skid steers are tier 4 compliant, which means they require DEF fluid. It is your responsibility as an operator to make sure your unit does not run out of DEF fluid- if you are running, low contact your supervisor immediately. When you are shutting down a machine with DEF fluid, you MUST purge the lines when you shut machine down. This takes between 5-15 minutes. If this is not done, the DEF fluid will freeze in the lines and manufacturers service truck will have to be called to reset the machine. It is a cost to you, cost to Snow Control Team and most importantly it delays the client in getting serviced!

5. EQUIPMENT OPERATION & MAINTENANCE

Never run diesel engines with the ignition in the “off” position.
Shut down properly using the mechanical shutdown device, then switch the ignition off and reset to “run.”
When parking at the end of a storm, turn off ignition, lower blade, secure keys in the warehouse, and ensure all electrical systems are off.
Report broken lights, mechanical issues, or other maintenance needs immediately.
Check fuel, windshield washer fluid, and DEF (if applicable) levels before and after every shift.

6. COMPENSATION & PAYMENT POLICIES

Employees and Independent contractors will be paid 3-7 days from the day that all of their hours and services they performed are accurately 100% logged in our mobile app (LMN Crew).
Direct Deposit Required for Snow Control Team Employees: All payments are made via direct deposit to the team member’s verified bank account. Independent Contractors will be paid by check.
Employees: Missing paperwork (contract agreement or training completion) will delay payment until completed.
Independent Contractors: Missing paperwork (completed contract agreement, emailed W-9 form or training completion - training relating to services you and your team are prviding for SCT) will delay payment until completed.
For changes to bank information, contact the office during regular business hours (Mon–Fri, 9AM – 5PM). Any reissued payments due to incorrect banking information will incur employee / contractor-paid bank fees.
Any equipment or property damage resulting from negligence will result in deductions equal to the repair cost or the insurance deductible (whichever is less). By signing this manual, you authorize such deductions.
Maintain accurate banking and contact information to ensure timely payment.

7. PLOWING STANDARDS

✅ Push snow piles as far away from the building as possible by plowing to the curbs at the back of the parking lot. Once to the curb, raise your plow and push the pile over the curb.
✅ Run the plow along the curb so the lot is clean, “curb-to-curb”. Watch for protruding curbs and always be careful.
✅ Always square off corners, unless they are naturally rounded.
✅ Inspect the job site when done plowing to check that the job is completely clean, clear and organized neatly.
✅ When working near gas meters, stay at least 3 feet away.
✅ Cart racks and signs – remove by hand and properly replace back to area when area is clean.
✅ Counter weight back of truck – General Rule: you should have enough weight so the truck sits level with the plow in the air.
✅ When the snow exceeds 5”, thin it out before “wind rowing”.
✅ Maintain your equipment in top condition to prevent breakdowns. Check to make sure your plow & spreader are in good working condition before leaving the shop area.
✅ Keep salt spreaders & plows on trucks and loaders at all times during the season because nobody can truly predict the weather.
❌ Don’t pile snow on or against All Doorways, Shrubbery (especially evergreens)
❌ Don’t pile snow in front of or against Loading Docks, Fire Hydrants, and Sprinkler System Controls
❌ Don’t pile snow on Sidewalks / steps by buildings
❌ Don’t pile snow in front of Garage entrances Cars/ motor vehicles
❌ Don’t pile snow in front of Garbage dumpsters
❌ Don’t pile snow in HANDICAP SPACES AND RAMPS
❌ Don’t pile any snow at driveway entrances. Yielding traffic must be able to see the oncoming traffic.
❌ Don’t push / "windrow" snow under Semi Trailers.
❌ Don’t push snow across the street or onto medians.
❌ Don’t leave trails or clumps of snow.
❌ Don’t pile snow in the middle of the parking lot. All snow must go out to the edges furthest from building / pedestrians.
❌ Don’t push snow against fences or load snow over them.
❌ Don’t use the little round skid pads on truck snow plows (unless you are instructed by your supervisor)
❌ Don’t pile snow on islands (unless you are instructed by your supervisor)
❌ Don’t push plows against garage doors or buildings to fill snow bucket on your loader.
❌ Don’t pile snow in a manner that impedes view down any street
❌ Don't place snow piles where it obvious that thaw/ melt can run across the parking lot surface and refreeze
❌ Don't leave a row of snow where the sidewalk meets the parking area
❌ Don't drive / work longer than 14 hrs without taking a 3+ hour rest break.

8. HAND LABOR STANDARDS

✅ Wait for snowing to stop before applying chemicals (unless instructed to by your supervisor / dispatcher).
✅ Blow / Shovel / Plow the snow away from the driveways as much as possible, unless lot has not been plowed yet.
✅ If you must Blow / Shovel / Push the snow onto the plowed lot, run the curb line with the Blower / Shovel / Snowrator Plow to ensure there’s no buildup along the curb - also let your supervisor know you had to do this so we can be sure to get a truck there to clean up the lot.
✅ I will check all sidewalks when my crew is finished to check that all sidewalks in the the job scope (site plan) are completely clean, clear and organized neatly. I will report any report these conditions to my supervisor and in the mobile app (LMN Crew).
✅ Avoid pedestrians and give them the right of way at all times.
❌ Don’t Blow / Shovel / Push snow onto evergreens or against windows.
❌ Don’t Blow / Shovel / Push snow toward the building and especially windows.
❌ Don’t Blow / Shovel / Push snow onto plowed lot unless absolutely necessary.
❌ Don’t spread granular deicer / spray liquid deicer on the building edges / window frames where it can cause damage due to the chemicals.
❌ Don’t spread granular deicer / spray liquid deicer under covered areas where there is commonly NO moisture present during or after an event.
❌ Don’t spread granular deicer / spray liquid deicer into landscaping beds / on plants and or grass.
❌ Don't shovel / work longer than 14 hrs without taking a 3+ hour rest break.

9. DEICING TRUCK STANDARDS

✅ I will do my pre-check around my vehicle to make sure everything is 100% operating before loading with salt / granular deicer / liquid.
✅ I will make sure I load my vehicle carefully and precise not to damage the vehicle and also waste salt / granular deicer / liquid.
✅ I will not spray salt / granular deicer / liquid onto any islands or grassy areas.
✅ I will make sure all corners have been hit with deicer.
✅ I will make sure all handicap areas are 100% clear of snow and ice before I leave the site.
✅ I will take after picture at every site with LMN Crew App to prove the job is complete (necessary for our clients to see in their account portal and for our insurance / invoicing.
✅ I will make sure I yield to all pedestrians and cars.
✅ I will obey all traffic signs, lights and rules of the road when operating the vehicle.
✅ I will not drive / work longer than 14 hrs without taking a 3+ hour rest break.
✅ I will report all damage by calling my supervisor.
✅ I will come to work prepared with all essentials with working in cold environments.
✅ I am responsible for any damage to my vehicle that's determined negligence and not normal wear & tear).
✅ I will work efficient and effective to get my route done in a timely manner.
✅ I will only salt / plow / service Snow Control Team managed properties.
✅ I will leave the vehicle as I got it, clean. I accept a $50 cleaning fee if my machine is returned dirty and full of garbage.
✅ I will empty my salt truck at the end of my shift and clean off all extra salt chunks from top grates.
✅ I will fill the vehicle with fuel, window washer fluid at end of my shift.
✅ I will use the LMN Crew mobile app to complete all required documentation.

11. TIME TRACKING POLICY

This winter season all team members will be using an app on your mobile phone (LMN Crew) to track attendance and log the services you provide on each of our clients properties. This will help streamline our entire payroll process. The new system allows us to track your hours more accurately and your time is automatically sent to the Snow Control Team office for verification and calculation.

This software will allow you to see your own time card and hours worked. The software requires the use of your location via your cell phone. You must be on your job site for clocking in/out or your time will be flagged in our system and require management approval.

In the event your LMN Crew app or phone doesn’t work it is YOUR responsibility to notify your supervisor immediately. Missing times may (and will) delay your pay check by weeks or result in not being paid for that event. Employees are expected to do their part to make this system work seamlessly. Remember: punching in/out electronically is much easier than using paper route sheets and trying to remember your hours. This also helps the office invoice our clients quicker which then gets you paid quicker. If you have questions about our app / time tracking system, please contact your supervisor.

I understand that I am REQUIRED to clock in and out, and if I fail to do so, then I will not be paid for that event. "I FORGOT" is not an acceptable excuse for not clocking in or out It is you responsibility to make notes of your hours worked and the unit # you were operating in case of a discrepancy.

12. DRUG AND ALCOHOL POLICY (MO & IL Compliance)

Snow Control Team maintains a zero-tolerance drug and alcohol policy in compliance with:

Missouri Drug-Free Workplace Policy Act (RSMo §105.1100 et seq.)
Illinois Drug-Free Workplace Act (30 ILCS 580/1 et seq.)
Federal DOT regulations (49 C.F.R. Part 382) for CDL operators

All team members must remain free from the influence of alcohol or controlled substances while on duty, operating company vehicles, or representing Snow Control Team.

Testing may occur:

Randomly
After an incident or reasonable suspicion

Refusal to test, tampering, or a positive result will result in disciplinary action or contract termination.

13. INJURY, ACCIDENT, AND INCIDENT REPORTING

All injuries, vehicle accidents, or property damage must be reported immediately to your supervisor.

Post-incident alcohol testing must occur within 2 hours, and drug testing within 32 hours.
Refusal or failure to comply will be treated as a positive result.
Incident reports and witness statements must be completed before leaving the site.

14. INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR AGREEMENT TERMS

(not applicable to employees that are on our payroll)

Independent contractors perform services for Snow Control Team under written agreement and are solely responsible for their own employees, vehicles, insurance, and tax obligations.

This agreement does not create an employer–employee relationship, joint venture, or partnership. Contractors must submit a W-9 and valid Certificate of Insurance prior to payment.

Contractors and their representatives are prohibited from soliciting Snow Control Team clients for a period of three (3) years after their last service date. Violation results in liability for civil damages up to ten (10) times the annual gross receipts of the affected account and full reimbursement of attorney fees.

1. PREPARACIÓN PERSONAL

Vístete apropiadamente para condiciones invernales extremas — se requieren chaqueta aislante, guantes impermeables y botas resistentes e impermeables. Prepárate siempre para las condiciones climáticas más severas.
Los uniformes y el equipo de protección personal (EPP) emitidos por la empresa deben usarse en todo momento mientras estés de servicio o operando equipo del Snow Control Team. Mantén tu teléfono disponible y el buzón de voz activo. Tu teléfono celular debe permanecer encendido y contigo en todo momento durante las operaciones activas. Despacho solo llamará una vez durante la activación.
Si se te ha entregado un walkie talkie o radio bidireccional, asegúrate de que esté cargado, encendido y funcionando antes de que comience tu turno. Debes monitorear tu canal asignado y responder de inmediato cuando despacho o los supervisores se comuniquen contigo. No responder constituye una violación de seguridad y cumplimiento.

2. PROCEDIMIENTOS DE REGISTRO (CHECK-IN) Y SALIDA (CHECK-OUT)

Preséntate en tu taller, patio o zona de trabajo asignada inmediatamente después de recibir la llamada de despacho. Prepárate con anticipación: ten tu ropa, comida y equipo listos antes de descansar.
Regístrate y cierra turno con tu supervisor por teléfono o en persona al inicio y al final de cada turno.
Permanece en tu patio o área de espera asignada después de registrarte hasta que se te indique tu ruta o sitio.
Estate listo para movilizarte rápidamente cuando se te solicite y asegúrate de conocer tu ruta, sitio y número de vehículo o equipo asignado.
Mantén un área de trabajo limpia y organizada. Ayuda a mantener el equipo y las instalaciones de Snow Control Team limpias y presentables en todo momento.

3. CONDUCTA PROFESIONAL

Todas las normas de seguridad y operación de la empresa deben seguirse en todo momento. Las violaciones pueden resultar en medidas disciplinarias o multas a partir de $50.00 por infracción.
Cumplimiento del Uniforme y EPP: El uso adecuado del uniforme y del equipo de protección personal emitidos por la empresa es obligatorio durante el servicio.
No se permite fumar en, sobre o alrededor del equipo y los vehículos de Snow Control Team.
No se permite fumar ni vapear en las propiedades de los clientes.
Dispositivos de Comunicación: Los radios, walkie talkies y sistemas de comunicación deben permanecer encendidos y monitoreados. Responde de inmediato cuando un supervisor o despacho se comunique contigo.
No se puede consumir alcohol ni drogas durante las horas de trabajo ni dentro de las ocho (8) horas previas a un turno. Cualquier sospecha de impedimento resultará en la remoción del servicio sin pago y posible despido o cancelación de contrato.
Las armas y armas de fuego están prohibidas en todas las propiedades de Snow Control Team y de los clientes, sin importar el estatus de permisos.
Reporta inmediatamente a tu supervisor cualquier violación de reglas, actos inseguros o conducta inapropiada.

4. PROCEDIMIENTOS OPERATIVOS

Revisa el “Plan del Sitio” (ubicado en la aplicación móvil o en la carpeta azul en tu camión) durante 2–5 minutos al llegar a una propiedad para obtener un entendimiento completo de las áreas de servicio de deshielo, banquetas, lugares designados para apilar nieve, etc.
Usa extrema precaución en todo momento. Asegúrate de que todas las luces de advertencia y estrobos estén activados mientras operas en el campo.
Mantén una distancia mínima de dos (2) pies de las puertas, entradas de muelles y bahías de carga cuando estés limpiando nieve con un camión o equipo.
No abandones tu sitio, ruta o zona de trabajo asignada sin la autorización de tu supervisor.
No remolques vehículos atascados con equipo de la empresa a menos que se encuentren en la propiedad de nuestros clientes; primero obtén la aprobación de tu supervisor.
No elijas ir en un orden diferente al establecido en tu ruta (1ª propiedad, 2ª propiedad, etc.) o al que se te asignó, sin la autorización de tu supervisor.
Apila la nieve solo en las áreas designadas, marcadas en rojo en los planes del sitio.
Notifica a tu supervisor de inmediato si tu nivel de combustible baja de un cuarto de tanque.
Recibe instrucciones únicamente de los supervisores de Snow Control Team. Si un cliente solicita trabajo adicional, ayúdalo cortésmente y luego notifica a tu supervisor antes de proceder.
No retires las llaves de encendido del equipo ni te las lleves a casa.
Siempre mira hacia atrás al retroceder. Ten cuidado con las cuchillas extendidas y los accesorios.
Evita arrastrar hacia atrás con palas de equipo grande — es probable que cause daños a la cuchilla.
Protege los bordes de corte y los bordes de goma evitando tapas de alcantarilla, guarniciones y terreno irregular.
Opera a velocidades seguras: los camiones quitanieves no deben exceder 15 mph mientras limpian nieve y los tractores deben usar solo 1ª o 2ª velocidad.
Levanta ligeramente la cuchilla si pierdes tracción para recuperar el control.
Al limpiar nieve con tractores o minicargadores, utiliza el modo “flotante” y evita ejercer presión excesiva hacia abajo.
No uses el borde de corte de un cucharón de material para hacer contacto directo con el pavimento.
Si te quedas atascado, solicita ayuda de inmediato.
Evita golpear guarniciones u obstáculos. Conoce bien el diseño de tu lote.
Reporta de inmediato a tu supervisor cualquier daño a la propiedad, casi accidente o lesión.

Procedimientos del Fluido DEF:

Todos los cargadores y algunas minicargadoras cumplen con el estándar Tier 4, lo que significa que requieren fluido DEF. Es tu responsabilidad como operador asegurarte de que tu unidad no se quede sin fluido DEF; si el nivel está bajo, contacta a tu supervisor de inmediato.Cuando apagues una máquina que utiliza fluido DEF, DEBES purgar las líneas al apagarla. Este proceso toma entre 5 y 15 minutos. Si no se realiza, el fluido DEF se congelará en las líneas y será necesario llamar al camión de servicio del fabricante para reiniciar la máquina.Esto genera un costo para ti, un costo para Snow Control Team y, lo más importante, retrasa el servicio al cliente.

5. OPERACIÓN Y MANTENIMIENTO DEL EQUIPO

Nunca operes motores diésel con el encendido en la posición “off”.
Apaga correctamente utilizando el dispositivo mecánico de apagado, luego cambia el encendido a “off” y restablécelo a “run”.
Al estacionarte al final de una tormenta, apaga el encendido, baja la cuchilla, guarda las llaves en el almacén y asegúrate de que todos los sistemas eléctricos estén apagados.
Reporta de inmediato luces rotas, problemas mecánicos u otras necesidades de mantenimiento.
Revisa los niveles de combustible, líquido para el limpiaparabrisas y DEF (si aplica) antes y después de cada turno.

6. POLÍTICAS DE COMPENSACIÓN Y PAGO

Los empleados y contratistas independientes serán pagados entre 3 y 7 días después de que todas sus horas y servicios realizados estén registrados al 100% y de forma precisa en nuestra aplicación móvil (LMN Crew).
Depósito Directo Requerido para Empleados de Snow Control Team: Todos los pagos se realizan mediante depósito directo a la cuenta bancaria verificada del miembro del equipo. Los Contratistas Independientes serán pagados mediante cheque.
Empleados: La falta de documentación (acuerdo de contrato o finalización de capacitación) retrasará el pago hasta que se complete.
Contratistas Independientes: La falta de documentación (acuerdo de contrato completado, formulario W-9 enviado por correo electrónico o finalización de la capacitación — capacitación relacionada con los servicios que tú y tu equipo están proporcionando para SCT) retrasará el pago hasta que se complete.
Para cambios en la información bancaria, comunícate con la oficina durante el horario laboral regular (lunes a viernes, de 9 a.m. a 5 p.m.). Cualquier pago reemitido debido a información bancaria incorrecta generará cargos bancarios que serán pagados por el empleado o contratista.
Cualquier daño a equipo o propiedad que resulte de negligencia dará lugar a deducciones equivalentes al costo de la reparación o al deducible del seguro (lo que sea menor). Al firmar este manual, autorizas dichas deducciones.
Mantén información bancaria y de contacto precisa y actualizada para garantizar un pago puntual.

7. ESTÁNDARES DE LIMPIEZA DE NIEVE (PLOWING)

✅ Empuja los montones de nieve lo más lejos posible del edificio, limpiando hasta las guarniciones en la parte trasera del estacionamiento. Una vez que llegues a la guarnición, levanta la pala y empuja el montón por encima de ella.
✅ Pasa la pala a lo largo de la guarnición para que el estacionamiento quede limpio “de borde a borde”. Mantén cuidado con las guarniciones que sobresalen y procede siempre con precaución.
✅ Siempre forma esquinas cuadradas, a menos que sean naturalmente redondeadas.
✅ Inspecciona el sitio de trabajo al terminar de limpiar nieve para verificar que el trabajo esté completamente limpio, despejado y organizado ordenadamente.
✅ Cuando trabajes cerca de medidores de gas, mantente al menos a 3 pies de distancia.
✅ Los estantes para carritos y las señalizaciones: retíralos manualmente y colócalos nuevamente en su lugar correspondiente una vez que el área esté limpia.
✅ Contrapeso en la parte trasera del camión – Regla general: debes tener suficiente peso para que el camión quede nivelado con la pala en el aire.
✅ Cuando la nieve exceda las 5 pulgadas, distribúyela (adelgázala) antes de “empujarla en fila” (wind rowing).
✅ Mantén tu equipo en óptimas condiciones para evitar averías. Verifica que tu pala y tu esparcidor estén en buen estado de funcionamiento antes de salir del área del taller.
✅ Mantén los esparcidores de sal y las palas instalados en los camiones y cargadores en todo momento durante la temporada, porque nadie puede predecir realmente el clima.
❌ No apiles nieve sobre o contra todas las entradas, arbustos (especialmente los siempreverdes).
❌ No apiles nieve frente a o contra los muelles de carga, hidrantes y controles del sistema de rociadores.
❌ No apiles nieve en banquetas o escalones junto a los edificios.
❌ No apiles nieve frente a las entradas de garajes, autos o vehículos motorizados.
❌ No apiles nieve frente a los contenedores de basura.
❌ No apiles nieve en los espacios y rampas para personas con discapacidad.
❌ No apiles nieve en las entradas de las cocheras o accesos vehiculares. El tráfico que cede el paso debe poder ver claramente el tráfico que se aproxima.
❌ No empujes ni “formen hileras” de nieve debajo de los semirremolques (trailers).
❌ No empujes la nieve al otro lado de la calle ni hacia las medianas.
❌ No dejes rastros ni montones de nieve.
❌ No apiles nieve en medio del estacionamiento. Toda la nieve debe ir hacia los bordes más alejados del edificio y de los peatones.
❌ No empujes nieve contra las cercas ni cargues nieve por encima de ellas.
❌ No uses las pequeñas placas redondas (skid pads) en las palas quitanieves de los camiones, a menos que tu supervisor te lo indique.
❌ No apiles nieve en las islas (a menos que tu supervisor te lo indique).
❌ No empujes las palas contra puertas de garaje o edificios para llenar el cucharón de nieve de tu cargador.
❌ No apiles nieve de manera que obstruya la visibilidad en cualquier calle.
❌ No coloques montones de nieve en lugares donde sea evidente que el deshielo puede escurrir sobre la superficie del estacionamiento y volver a congelarse.
❌ No dejes una línea de nieve donde la banqueta se une con el área de estacionamiento.
❌ No conduzcas ni trabajes por más de 14 horas sin tomar un descanso de al menos 3 horas.

8. ESTÁNDARES DE TRABAJO MANUAL

✅ Espera a que deje de nevar antes de aplicar químicos (a menos que tu supervisor o despacho te indiquen lo contrario).
✅ Sopla / Palear / Quita la nieve alejándola de las entradas de vehículos tanto como sea posible, a menos que el estacionamiento aún no haya sido limpiado.
✅ Si debes soplar / palear / empujar la nieve hacia el estacionamiento ya limpiado, recorre la línea de la guarnición con el soplador / pala / Snowrator para asegurarte de que no quede acumulación a lo largo de la guarnición. Además, informa a tu supervisor que tuviste que hacerlo para que podamos enviar un camión a limpiar el área.
✅ Revisaré todas las banquetas cuando mi equipo termine para asegurarme de que todas las banquetas dentro del alcance del trabajo (plan del sitio) estén completamente limpias, despejadas y organizadas correctamente. Reportaré cualquier condición a mi supervisor y en la aplicación móvil (LMN Crew).
✅ Evita a los peatones y dales siempre el derecho de paso.
❌ No soples / palees / empujes nieve sobre los siempreverdes ni contra las ventanas.
❌ No soples / palees / empujes nieve hacia el edificio, especialmente hacia las ventanas.
❌ No soples / palees / empujes nieve hacia el estacionamiento ya limpiado a menos que sea absolutamente necesario.
❌ No apliques deshielante granular ni rocíes deshielante líquido en los bordes del edificio o en los marcos de las ventanas, donde los químicos puedan causar daños.
❌ No apliques deshielante granular ni rocíes deshielante líquido en áreas techadas donde normalmente no hay humedad durante o después de un evento.
❌ No apliques deshielante granular ni rocíes deshielante líquido en jardineras, plantas o césped.
❌ No palees ni trabajes por más de 14 horas sin tomar un descanso de al menos 3 horas.

9. ESTÁNDARES PARA CAMIONES DE DESHIELO

✅ Realizaré una revisión previa alrededor de mi vehículo para asegurarme de que todo esté operando al 100% antes de cargarlo con sal / deshielante granular / líquido.
✅ Me aseguraré de cargar mi vehículo de manera cuidadosa y precisa para no dañar el vehículo ni desperdiciar sal / deshielante granular / líquido.
✅ No rociaré sal / deshielante granular / líquido sobre islas o áreas con pasto.
✅ Me aseguraré de que todas las esquinas hayan sido tratadas con deshielante.
✅ Me aseguraré de que todas las áreas para personas con discapacidad estén 100% libres de nieve y hielo antes de salir del sitio.
✅ Tomaré una foto después del trabajo en cada sitio usando la aplicación LMN Crew para demostrar que el trabajo está completo (esto es necesario para que nuestros clientes lo vean en su portal de cuenta y para nuestros procesos de seguro y facturación).
✅ Me aseguraré de ceder el paso a todos los peatones y vehículos.
✅ Obedeceré todas las señales de tránsito, semáforos y reglas viales al operar el vehículo.
✅ No conduciré ni trabajaré por más de 14 horas sin tomar un descanso de al menos 3 horas.

11. POLÍTICA DE REGISTRO DE TIEMPO

Durante esta temporada de invierno, todos los miembros del equipo usarán una aplicación en su teléfono móvil (LMN Crew) para registrar su asistencia y documentar los servicios que brindan en cada una de las propiedades de nuestros clientes. Esto ayudará a agilizar todo nuestro proceso de nómina. El nuevo sistema nos permite rastrear tus horas con mayor precisión y tu tiempo se envía automáticamente a la oficina de Snow Control Team para su verificación y cálculo.

Este software te permitirá ver tu propia tarjeta de tiempo y las horas trabajadas. La aplicación requiere el uso de tu ubicación a través de tu teléfono celular. Debes estar en tu sitio de trabajo para registrar entrada/salida; de lo contrario, tu tiempo será marcado en el sistema y requerirá aprobación de la gerencia.

En caso de que la aplicación LMN Crew o tu teléfono no funcionen, es TU responsabilidad notificar a tu supervisor inmediatamente. La falta de registros puede (y lo hará) retrasar tu pago por semanas o incluso resultar en no recibir pago por ese evento. Se espera que los empleados hagan su parte para que este sistema funcione sin problemas. Recuerda: registrar entrada/salida electrónicamente es mucho más fácil que usar hojas de ruta en papel e intentar recordar tus horas. Esto también ayuda a la oficina a facturar más rápido a nuestros clientes, lo que a su vez te permite recibir tu pago más pronto. Si tienes preguntas sobre nuestra aplicación o el sistema de seguimiento de tiempo, comunícate con tu supervisor.

Entiendo que estoy OBLIGADO a registrar mi entrada y salida, y si no lo hago, no se me pagará por ese evento. “SE ME OLVIDÓ” no es una excusa válida para no registrar entrada o salida. Es tu responsabilidad anotar tus horas trabajadas y el número de la unidad que estabas operando en caso de que exista una discrepancia.

12. POLÍTICA DE DROGAS Y ALCOHOL (Cumplimiento en MO y IL)

Snow Control Team mantiene una política de tolerancia cero para drogas y alcohol en cumplimiento con:

Missouri Drug-Free Workplace Policy Act (RSMo §105.1100 et seq.)
Illinois Drug-Free Workplace Act (30 ILCS 580/1 et seq.)
Regulaciones federales DOT (49 C.F.R. Parte 382) para operadores con licencia CDL

Todos los miembros del equipo deben permanecer libres de la influencia de alcohol o sustancias controladas mientras estén de servicio, operando vehículos de la empresa o representando a Snow Control Team.

Las pruebas pueden realizarse:

De manera aleatoria
Después de un incidente o por sospecha razonable

Negarse a realizar la prueba, manipularla o dar un resultado positivo resultará en medidas disciplinarias o terminación del contrato.

13. REPORTE DE LESIONES, ACCIDENTES E INCIDENTES

Todas las lesiones, accidentes vehiculares o daños a la propiedad deben ser reportados inmediatamente a tu supervisor.

Las pruebas de alcohol posteriores a un incidente deben realizarse dentro de 2 horas.
Las pruebas de drogas deben realizarse dentro de 32 horas.
Negarse o no cumplir con el proceso se tratará como un resultado positivo.
Los reportes de incidente y las declaraciones de testigos deben completarse antes de abandonar el sitio.

14. TÉRMINOS DEL ACUERDO PARA CONTRATISTAS INDEPENDIENTES

(No aplica a empleados que están en nuestra nómina)

Los contratistas independientes realizan servicios para Snow Control Team bajo un acuerdo por escrito y son los únicos responsables de sus propios empleados, vehículos, seguros y obligaciones fiscales.

Este acuerdo no crea una relación de empleador–empleado, empresa conjunta ni sociedad. Los contratistas deben presentar un formulario W-9 y un Certificado de Seguro válido antes de recibir pago.

Los contratistas y sus representantes tienen prohibido solicitar o contactar a los clientes de Snow Control Team por un período de tres (3) años después de la fecha de su último servicio.

La violación de esta cláusula resulta en responsabilidad por daños civiles de hasta diez (10) veces los ingresos brutos anuales de la cuenta afectada, además del reembolso total de los honorarios legales.

Reconozco y acepto que he leído, entiendo y estoy de acuerdo con las Políticas y Procedimientos de Snow Control Team. El incumplimiento de estos estándares puede resultar en medidas disciplinarias, terminación de contrato o deducciones de pago según lo establecido en este documento.
